UNITED WAY OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY |YOUR IMPACT IN MOTION ANNUAL REPORT

Dear Community Champion,

As the year gains momentum, so does the impact we're making together. At United Way of Indian River County, the progress you'll see in our 2024-2025 Annual Report reflects what's possible when a community commits to showing up for one another.

Inside the report, you'll find a snapshot of how collective support translated into real outcomes, from strengthening access to mental health services and supporting veterans, to helping families achieve greater stability and opportunity. It's both a look back at what you helped make possible and a reminder of what we can continue to accomplish together.

If you're inspired to lean in even further, there are meaningful ways to get involved right now.

One of the most impactful opportunities is our Citizens' Review Process, a cornerstone of how United Way ensures funding is directed where it's needed most. Community volunteers review grant applications, visit local nonprofits, and help evaluate programs that are changing lives. It's a hands-on way to see impact up close and help guide critical investment decisions.

We're also continuing our work to help hardworking families keep more of what they earn through our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. Individuals and families earning $68,000 or less can receive free, IRS-certified tax preparation, often resulting in thousands of dollars returned to our local community through refunds and credits.

And sometimes, giving back comes with a little friendly competition. We hope you'll join us at one of our upcoming events:

However you choose to engage, by reading the annual report, volunteering, attending an event, or sharing our work, you are a part of this momentum. Thank you for believing in our community and for all the ways you help move it forward.

With gratitude,

Meredith Egan

Chief Executive Officer
