Barb's Monthly Message
Greetings ELC Friends,
As you can see from perusing this newsletter, we have an action-packed Fall calendar designed to connect everyone - from toddlers to seniors - with the natural world.
During the school week, we’ll be busy with our signature field trips, engaging students through canoeing, seining, dip netting, plankton labs, squid dissections, animal encounters, and mangrove walks. Interactive environmental education is at the heart of everything we do!
Every day, we offer opportunities to get out on the water with kayak rentals, guided trips, and pontoon excursions, alongside a full array of wellness programs.
On the weekends, we have engaging hands-on youth programs:
Beyond our weekly programs, our schedule is packed with art exhibits, a speaker series, and signature community events:
Please join us however you can - as a participant, volunteer, sponsor, member, or donor. It is through your support and involvement that we are able to bring such a rich variety of programs to our community.

Outdoor Explorers For ages 6–9, this nature and adventure program meets every 2nd and 4th Saturday with a new monthly theme and activities each date. Join us twice a month for twice the fun.
Art of the Ocean A six-week program for ages 6–10 combining art and science to explore marine life, coral reefs, and ocean conservation. Each week features a new topic and creative project, ending with a special art show!
Outdoor Wild Living Skills (OWLS) For ages 10–15, this hands-on program teaches practical outdoor skills while building confidence, teamwork, curiosity, and a connection to nature.
Lagoon Girls STEM Lab A 12-week program for girls ages 10–14 exploring the Indian River Lagoon through STEM. Every Sunday features a new topic and activity! |
