Town of Orchid Special Election to be Held February 24
Indian River County, FL – The Town of Orchid will hold a special municipal election on Tuesday, February 24. The election is for a referendum on a comprehensive update of the Town’s Charter. Only registered voters who reside within the Town of Orchid, and are assigned to Precinct 30, are eligible to vote in this election.
Polls will be open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Polling Location
In-person Election Day voting will take place at the Indian River Shores Community Center located at 6001 Highway A1A.
Vote-by-Mail Information
Voters may choose to vote by mail by requesting a ballot with the Supervisor of Elections office either online at VoteIndianRiver.gov or voters can call in their request at 772-226-4700.
- The initial mailing of vote-by-mail ballots will occur on January 15
- The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot to be mailed is 5:00 p.m. on February 12
Only Town of Orchid voters who are registered on or before January 26 will be eligible to vote in this election. Voters are encouraged to verify their voter registration status at VoteIndianRiver.gov and make their voting plans early. Additional information on the proposed comprehensive charter amendment is available on the Town of Orchid’s website at townoforchid.com.
