We wanted to share an update on sweet Brûlée. On Monday, Brûlée was transferred to Animal Specialty Hospital after suffering a fourth rectal prolapse.
Since then, she has been under the care of a team of specialists working tirelessly to give her the best chance at a healthy future.
Today, Brûlée underwent her fourth surgery. Right now, the doctors are focused on keeping the tissue healthy while we wait for the results of multiple biopsies. We are hopeful these biopsies will finally reveal the underlying cause of her recurring prolapses and provide the answers needed to develop a long-term treatment plan.
Brûlée has shown incredible strength throughout this journey. Despite everything she has endured, she continues to fight with the sweet, loving spirit that has captured all of our hearts.
Unfortunately, the cost of her specialized care continues to rise with each surgery, hospitalization, and diagnostic test. We are committed to doing everything possible to give Brûlée the chance to live the long, happy, healthy life every puppy deserves—but we can't do it without your help.
