The Environmental Learning Center Presents WinterGreen Night Lights: 

A Celebration of Nature and Light

Friday and Saturday, December 12–13, 2025 | 5:00-8:30 PM

Vero Beach, FL – The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) invites the community to experience WinterGreen Night Lights. During this two-night celebration, lights, nature, and family fun transform the lagoon island campus. Visitors can stroll along glowing boardwalks, explore evening exhibits, and enjoy seasonal activities for all ages.

Event Details

Dates and Times: December 12 and 13, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:30 PM. The grounds open at noon, and guests are encouraged to arrive early to explore the trails and aquariums.

Admission: $5 per person. Free for ELC Members, SNAP participants, and children two and under. Guests can also enjoy $10 off memberships during the event.

Highlights

Illuminated canoe trips through the mangroves ($15, ages 5 and up, wristbands required, first-come, first-served)

S’mores by the fire ($5 for a set of two)

Nature playscape open for evening play

Nature Nook boutique open for eco-friendly holiday shopping

Aquariums and touch tank open for nighttime exploration

Hands-on crafts

Pizza, hot chocolate and cider are available for purchase

High-powered telescope for stargazing

Raffle tickets: $5 each or 6 for $20. Prizes include a Pontoon Trip for 2, Kayak Rental for 2, and two tickets to the 2/7/26 Adam Ezra concert at ELC (Drawing held Saturday night; winner does not need to be present)

City of Vero Beach Recreation Department Aerial Antics will perform excerpts from their Holiday Show on Friday, December 12 at 5:00 PM on the Pavilion Stage

Enjoy the Magic of WinterGreen Night Lights - All to Yourself

Private WinterGreen evenings are available for groups (December - February)

$750 for up to 50 guests ($15 each additional)

$500 for a campfire and s’mores for up to 50 guests ($10 each additional)

$250 to add a craft project

$250 to open the aquarium, touch tank, art galleries, welcome center, and gift shop
