We’re Hiring: Front Desk Receptionist (Part-Time)

H.A.L.O. Rescue is looking for someone special to join our front office team — someone who brings compassion, confidence, and strong communication skills.

If you love animals, enjoy working with people, and can stay calm and clear even in challenging moments, this could be a great fit.

What the Job Feels Like:

• Fast-paced and sometimes loud (yes, lots of barking!)

• A mix of happy moments and emotional situations

• Team-oriented, with everyone supporting each other

• A role where you’ll need to think on your feet and stay composed

Responsibilities Include:

• Greeting visitors and guiding them through our services

• Answering phones and emails

• Assisting with adoptions and applications

• Handling payments and donations

• Keeping the front office clean and organized

• Basic animal care tasks (including nail trims — training provided)

• Data entry and general office support

Animal Handling Expectations:

This is a hands-on role. Training is provided, but:

• You may get scratched during nail trims

• Some animals may be fearful or resistant

• Proper restraint and confidence are important

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Is friendly and empathetic, but comfortable setting boundaries

• Can handle emotional conversations professionally

• Communicates clearly and works well with a team

• Stays organized and focused in a busy environment

Schedule:

Part-time (3-4 days/week)

8:45 AM – 5:10 PM (some flexibility required)

Pay: Starting at $15/hour, with opportunities for raises
