Are you aware of The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) that went into effect on January 1, 2024? The CTA is a federal law which introduces stringent reporting requirements for most companies, particularly affecting limited liability companies and small corporations, and is applicable to most small businesses whether new in 2024 or established for years.
If you own, operate, or are an officer or decision maker for a limited liability company or corporation, then there is a high likelihood this law applies to you and compliance is mandatory unless your company is exempt.
