United Way of Indian River County Invites Applications for Education Grants
VERO BEACH, November 11, 2024 – United Way of Indian River County (UWIRC) is pleased to announce the opening of the application period for grant funding in the Education Impact Area through the Community Impact Fund. Established with the goal of supporting high-performing nonprofit organizations aligned with UWIRC's strategic priorities of Education, Financial Stability, and Health, this grant opportunity seeks to enhance the well-being of our local community.
UWIRC operates on a two-year funding cycle and is currently accepting proposals from organizations serving Indian River County residents. Eligible applicants are required to demonstrate measurable participant progress based on outcomes and indicators set forth by UWIRC and its Vision Councils in one of the Education Areas:
- Early Learning – All children are nurtured by caregivers who promote early learning and development to prepare them for kindergarten.
- School and Academic Success – All children succeed and achieve in school, and students will continue to stay on track for High School Readiness.
- Graduate for Success – Students graduate high school on time, prepared for continuing education, work, and life.
Interested agencies and programs are required to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by 4:00 PM on December 9, 2024, for consideration in the grant funding process. LOIs must be submitted electronically through United Way's web-based grant platform, e-CImpact. Following the review of all submitted LOIs, agencies will be notified if they are approved to proceed to the application stage.
