UNITED WAY OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY | CELEBRATING VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK

Here's to the Helpers ❤️

Dear Community Champion,

At United Way of Indian River County, we believe in the power of people coming together to lift one another up.

This Volunteer Appreciation Week, we’re celebrating the hundreds of individuals who have done just that—giving their time, talents, and heart to serve their neighbors.

From helping local families navigate tax season through VITA, to taking part in Day of Caring projects, to responding with care and compassion after Hurricane Milton—our volunteers are the heartbeat of so much of what we do.

Over the past year, more than 700 volunteers contributed over 6,000 hours to support our mission. Their efforts helped stretch resources, improve lives, and make lasting change right here in Indian River County.

To every volunteer: we see you, we thank you, and we’re so grateful you're part of this work. Take a look at this special video tribute to our incredible volunteers: Watch the video here.

Want to get involved? There’s always room for more hands and hearts. From one-day projects to ongoing opportunities, there’s a way for everyone to make a difference. Learn how you can volunteer with us.

And if you’re looking for another way to celebrate—we’d love to see you at our upcoming event! Join us Friday, May 2 at Sailfish Brewery in Vero Beach for our 3rd Annual Trike Wars Thank You Celebration and Block Party (more details below)!

Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community—one act of kindness at a time.

With gratitude,

Meredith Egan

Chief Executive Officer
