We a looking for "Trunks" to join us for the Annual Trunk or Treat and Monster Mash at the IG Center. Last year we welcomed over 1000 participants to this FREE community event. Hosting a trunk is a great opportunity for businesses and agencies to engage with the community and participate in some spooky holiday fun!

How to Participate: Donate unopened, unexpired jars of peanut butter (any size and flavor) throughout the month of October to help combat food insecurity in Indian River County. Donation bins are located in the lobbies of Admin Buildings A & B near the main entrances, the North County Library, Brackett Library, and the Intergenerational Recreation Center. At the end of the month donations will be tallied, and all the peanut butter collected will be donated to local food pantries.

Why Peanut Butter?: The Peanut Butter Challenge is a statewide campaign organized by UF/IFAS Extension and supported by the Florida Peanut Federation and Florida Peanut Producers Association (did you know that Florida ranks 3rd in U.S. peanut production?!) to help combat hunger and food insecurity across the state. Peanut butter is nutrient-dense and shelf-stable, providing families with an inexpensive and reliable source of protein that can be incorporated into many healthy meals and snacks.
