Description
American History Live (AHL) will present a free, entertaining, and enlightening program for individuals, families, homeschool groups, church youth groups, and anyone interested in American history on Tuesday, March 19 beginning at 11:30 am at the historic Courthouse Executive Center in downtown Vero. The program will kick off with a complimentary light lunch followed by a presentation by acclaimed author Jenny L. Cote. Cote is renowned for her captivating historical fiction tailored for children and young adults. She has garnered widespread recognition for her ability to blend imaginative storytelling with historical events. Her books have been celebrated for their ability to transport readers to various historical periods. Cote’s engaging presentation, “No History, No Future, Know History, Know Future,” will provide a snapshot of the current educational landscape relating to history. She will delve into why learning about history is vital and explore ways to make the subject engaging, vibrant, and dynamic for the next generation. Her lively and interactive style fosters both thought-provoking reflection and uplifting inspiration and is appropriate for all ages. Next up will be the opportunity to unleash your inner history buff with a little friendly competition in the “Are You Smarter Than an 8th Grader Trivia Challenge,” presented by a historical character from American History Live. With questions spanning the breadth of American history--from pivotal events to influential figures-- the AHL staff will test your knowledge and uncover the hidden gems of our nation's heritage. The event will wrap up with a book signing by Cote. Books can be purchased in advance on her website www.epicorderoftheseven.net and a limited number of books will be available for purchase at the event. This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited and advance registration is required. To reserve your seat, visit https://bit.ly/AHLCote . For questions and additional information contact the American History Live at 772-388-2491.
