Description
Katherine Booth, Vero Beach resident and founder of the Let’s Be a Good Neighbor to the Lagoon organization, will give a presentation to the Friends of St. Sebastian River this month, on the benefits of saving our local native trees, especially oaks. Oak trees are a great benefit to our environment, supporting the largest variety of insects. There are several varieties of oaks native to Florida, which are our most valuable land-based resource. Please join us on Tuesday, November 28, 6pm at the North Indian River County Library, 1001 Sebastian Blvd in Sebastian to learn more about oak trees in Florida – all are welcome to attend. For more information, visit our website at www.fssr.org or call 772-202-0501.
